Meet Alina

My name is Alina V. Martinez, I am an International Etiquette Consultant. I created this page to share my knowledge and passion for good manners.

I was born in Cuba and graduated from Moscow State University M.V Lomonosov with a Master of Science in Chemistry. Since my childhood, my family taught me basic etiquette manners. I remember embroidering more than 50 napkins to use them on a daily basis. I was a professor of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry at Havana University, married my amazing husband Dr. Efrain Martinez in 1990, and emigrated to Venezuela where our two sons were born. We moved to the USA in December 2000.

Our sons, Dr. Camilo Martinez and Marcos Martinez, Esq., also learned basic table manners from their childhood. They know about my passion for etiquette because I always told them that I would like to have an Etiquette School. My "nueras" (daughters-in-law), Nicole Wallace, RN, and Nataly Zelaya, Master’s candidate, also follow me in this passion. They understand the importance of good manners at the table, posture, being kind and private, and how all these manners play an important part in making a favorable impression.

I dedicated the last seven years of my career to training customers to use medical devices which improved my teaching skills significantly. By the start of 2024, I set my sights on becoming an International Etiquette Consultant. Achieving certification from the International Association of Professions Career College, I subsequently joined the esteemed ranks of the International Association of Etiquette Consultants.
